INVENTORY CONTROL: MAY EDITION

Today is May 6th, 2020. And I want to try to see if I can share a bit more of my creation process while also tracking my own productivity. There’s something really liberating about sharing your stuff with the world. And somewhat modern (or at least to me).
So without further due, here are the metrics for the past 2 weeks (April 22-May 6th)…

“WE WANT IT NOW!”: How I ended up producing a magazine from scratch, almost all by myself, in 15 days

I have a strong customer satisfaction culture. Always had. I rarely say no to a project. Even on a shoe-string budget, I try to create the best possible product. And when you’ve been working in the publishing business for 25+ years, you think you’ve seen it all. Wrong! Issue 1, especially when you have to set up a new universe and have readers getContinue reading “IN ONE WEEK, IN YOUR LOCAL COMIC STORE… MY ‘NEW HOPE’!”

GET READY FOR INTERTWINED#3

Dynamite Comics just announced their solicitations for December 2016, so I can officially tell you all about Intertwined#3. And let me tell you this issue is simply UN-MISS-ABLE! Reviewers will tell you that usually, in the third issues, nothing happens. This couldn’t be farther from the truth here: a new Spirit of the Earth is inContinue reading “GET READY FOR INTERTWINED#3”

SETTING INTERTWINED ON FIRE!

The Spirit of Fire. This is the second pinup drawn by fan-favorite artist Gerald Parel for my Dynamite Comics series Intertwined (always with Fred Pham Chuong and Veronica Lopez).Which led me to think about a few things (as always)… This piece of art came as a complete surprise, as Gerald only committed himself to draw oneContinue reading “SETTING INTERTWINED ON FIRE!”
