Today is May 6th, 2020. And I want to try to see if I can share a bit more of my creation process while also tracking my own productivity. There’s something really liberating about sharing your stuff with the world. And somewhat modern (or at least to me).
So without further due, here are the metrics for the past 2 weeks (April 22-May 6th)…
Writing is hard. And whoever told you otherwise is a liar. I often praise Dave Hine for being a wonderful mentor. He certainly was to me. When we started working on Spider-Man Noir together, I certainly knew how to write articles, essays and more, but comic book scripts? Not really. After teaming up with Dave,Continue reading “A TOOL FOR WRITERS”
It all started with a post on Facebook. On April 8th, 2020, one of my FB Friends, Eric Francisco, posted a message saying he was interested in hiring an artist for concept work. This weekend, APRIL 18-19th, 2020, I’m attending a very special event: a STAY HOME ARTIST ALLEY! Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to make this project a reality beyond the first 6 pages. So What happened? Could it come back? Let’s find out… Projects come, projectsContinue reading “THE VAMPIRE MENAGERIE THAT NEVER WAS”
Welcome to a new edition of FETCH A SKETCH, a peak into my process as I’m creating commissions. This time (as often), I was requested to draw Spider-Man Noir. Here’s how i did it, easy as 1-2-3, step-by-step… 1-Pencils I’ve drawn Spider-Man Noir so many times that finding an inspiration for it can take someContinue reading “FETCH-A-SKETCH: SPIDEY NOIR”
Here’s an update on the Lady-Bird plot. Almost 3200 words. Act two will be complete in a couple of paragraphs. I can now here reveal the main themes of the Graphic Novel as well as the short pitch. You want to read more? It’s coming… And while I’m at it, I’m ready to take applicationsContinue reading “DIARY OF A LADY-BIRD”
